As you've mentioned before, it's been a while since I've added pictures of me to this page, and Daisy wanted some attention while I was at my computer (which was an incredibly rare occurrence) so I thought I'd try having a little photo shoot with "Little" Miss Daisy. =) You know how decisive I am, so paring down all the photos and choosing just a few to add would've been far more work than simply adding them all and I figured when it comes to pictures of loved ones we miss, the more the better. And I really miss you too, Love.
Caught our cats canoodling long enough to capture them with my camera. Cute.
Now that it's getting colder most mornings I wake up with both of them curled up near me on the bed--pretty sure it has more to do with my heated mattress pad than it does with their fondness for each other or for me, but I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth. =) It would be so much more wonderful to wake up next to/curled up with you in bed with us, though. REALLY hope we can make that happen in December.

Couldn't sleep and had this song in my head all day so I decided to try recording it. You're a very courageous and wise man for reaching out for guidance and support to face and grapple with some incredibly difficult issues while you dig into memories you'd probably rather stay buried. It's a real shame the guy(s) running sound didn't really know what they were doing--i'm sure being unfamiliar with either the equipment or the space (or both, since this was the first performance in the refurbished common grounds) had something to do with the balance and feedback issues. The song I played solo (forgive and forget) was even worse and with a lot of bad feedback and crowd noise it made for a kind of worthless recording (my dad didn't even bother converting it). Hopefully the recording of Adam's song I sang with turned out better, but it's a much longer song/recording and so a much larger file so we're still working on the upload/transfer bit. I'm sure we'll figure it out eventually. Anyway.
Yeah, not the best quality video but it's what we've got, so here it is. Nothing like playing a keyboard with a pedal you can barely reach for the very first time in front of a crowd. Oh well. The other songs we did together were better I think...hopefully the recordings of them are better, too. We shall see. I'll post them once I have them. Love you.

Hey, Love. Here are some home video clips from our Gainesville, FL years I thought you might find entertaining. The first is the Amish bonnet thing I was talking to you about, the second features our old neighbors' cat Morris--the most tolerant cat on the planet--and the third shows early evidence of my close, loving bond with Andrea...and some of my Dad's parenting prowess (in my own defense, Andrea was sitting in my rocking chair). Apologies for the terribly poor quality video/audio--I recorded the clips with the video function on my camera off of my big external computer monitor...the quality is all in the content. And don't bother trying to understand what Andrea is saying in the last video--it's irrelevant. Enjoy!

These are all photos of prints--not scans--so some of them are a little skewed. All the type is set with individual letters and spacers which is ridiculously tedious. The process for the posters was incredibly long and complicated--i'll tell you about it sometime. I was going to trim them down more so the paper's edge is almost touching the edge of the type for a more long/narrow look but wasn't thinking about that when I printed the colored blocks by hand at the end so I don't know anymore.
